Laser Toenail Fungus Treatment

Laser Toenail Treatments is a dual laser treatment which penetrates your nails and gets rid of the problem at the source, the nail bed. We use a single laser called the Er:Yag to drill tiny holes into the nail bed and then we use another laser called the Nd:Yag to precisely heat the nail. Then a topical solution available in almost every pharmacy without a prescription is applied twice a day to the nail as now we are able to get the medication to the affected area. Then, over a few months the nail heals and is again beautiful. The procedure is repeated in 3 weeks for 3-5 treatments, depending on your results. 

Does it hurt?Yes it does sting for a second. The pain only lasts for a few seconds. It is the sensation of heat. We do use a cooler machine to help with the discomfort. We do not use anesthetic as the discomfort is a signal that we have achieved the depth we need for the treatment. You are able to wear shoes and walk after the treatments.

Possible, but part of our discussion will be ways to prevent recurrent fungus.

How long until my nails look great?

Usually takes 6 mo to a year. Even though the fungus is destroyed, the nail grows slowly and will grow back normally.
