Ready to reduce the appearance of eye wrinkles, crows-feet and bags under the eyes? Fotona SmoothEye maybe the answer. It is a laser eye lift.  

How It Works

The process tightens the the area surrounding the eyes and reduces the presence of wrinkles. The gentile, precisely controlled warming of the skin stimulates collagen remodeling and contraction and also starts the process of new collagen growth. There is no ablative laser use, so there is minimal redness and skin irritation.  Some people ask for numbing medication for around the eyes and that is available, but usually not necessary. Often the Fotona SmoothEye is performed along with a Fotona 4D to enhance the results, as the Fotona 4D treats the whole face, not just the area around the eyes.  

Some results of the treatment are immediate. Often we see tightening of skin and wrinkle reduction immediately before even leaving our spa. Other results slowly happen as the collagen remodeling occurs over months.

How Many Treatments Are Needed?

Usually 2-4 treatments are needed to get amazing results. But all treatments are individualized. 

Are there any side effects from the procedure?

There can be some redness like a mild sunburn and rarely some swelling. There may be some dry flaky skin which, if occurs, usually happens on days 2-5 post procedure. Doctor does recommend avoiding sun for 2-5 days and wear sunscreen thereafter. Eye dryness may occur after the procedure for a day or 2. If there is any, apply 1-2 drops of artificial tears available over the counter usually helps.

There is no downtime after the 15 minute procedure. Go back to work. Go ahead and wear makeup after the procedure. Dr. Cespedes also recommends Obagi ELASTIderm Eye Serum to enhance the results of your treatment.
