I have a new surgical scar, should I wait to get laser treatment for it?

No, come in as soon as possible to get and consultation and treatment started right away. Our laser treatments are used in the operating room to assist in the repair of surgical wounds as they are being made.

How many treatments will it take?

Will it hurt?

Scar treatments can be painless to uncomfortable. During your consultation we will discuss the treatment process including if there is discomfort associated with the treatment.

What will be the price?

The treatment options and price will vary depending on a number of factors including where and what type of scar you have, how large is it.   Please come in and get a free consultation and price quote.

How much does stretch mark treatment cost?

Usual cost is $650 per treatment per area such as lower stomach, per treatment session. Usually around 2-4 treatment  sessions would be needed for a good result.  Other much smaller scars would have a smaller price starting around $400 per treatment.

Will I need to be out of the sun after the treatments?

Yes all scar treatment recovery is hindered by sun exposure. Since scar removal treatments are energy intense treatments they need to have no sun exposure for a minimum of 1 month after the treatment. For example if the scar is on the face, a zinc based sun block >50 spf would be needed to be applied minimum twice a day and hats or mask worn to protect the scar. The sun makes scars worse. If the treatment is on the belly, sun occluding clothing and swimsuits (please check the spf of your suit should be higher than 50) should be worn. Also remember t-shirts offer poor or no sun protection, they only have spf of 7 dry and 3 wet!
