Stubborn body fat areas that don’t respond to diet and exercise can be treated with Fotona TightSculpting.

We use 2 lasers. One to remove fat and then another to tighten the skin.

How does it remove fat?
The first step of the two step process removes fat. The non invasive procedure is called Lipolysis. We use the Fotona Nd:Yag PIANO Mode Laser to safely and rapidly stimulate the metabolism of fat cells. Then your body, though a natural process, takes the dead fat cells away.

How does it tighten the skin?

During second step, the laser tightens the surrounding skin, stimulates collagen remodeling and initiates new collagen formation. It improves the elasticity of the treatment areas. Using the Fotona Er:Yag SMOOTH Mode laser, we are able to sculpt your body giving precise, exceptional results. The procedure is a fast, safe and effective non-invasive alternative to liposuction. This second is also something coolsculpting and other treatments of lipolysis lack.

I don’t have fat, I just have loose skin, is there a treatment for that?

Absolutely. We just skip the first step and go right to the skin tightening second step.

Who can have this procedure?

It is very important to understand the procedure is a body conturing procedure and not a weight loss procedure. Depending on your desired results, 5 or more treatments, each taking approximately 1 hour may be all that is necessary. Consultations are recommended to answer any questions you have, review your expectations and identify any limitation of the procedure. But typically, 5 or more treatments are necessary to loose inches. Your skin will be tighter, lifted and with less fat. The ideal patient for TightSculpting® procedures is not overweight, but we can treat targeted unwanted fat areas in a broader range of patients. Some do see a weight loss after the

procedure, but it isn’t the main focus of the procedure. The procedure is for fat removal and skin tightening in stubborn areas that are resistant to exercise and weight loss.

Does it hurt?

There is some “warmth” to the skin during the procedure. Most people perceive it as warm or hot. It is minimally uncomfortable. If it becomes uncomfortable, we move to a different section, and the discomfort goes away immediately. We use cooling for part of the procedure and it really helps make this procedure very well tolerated.

Are there any side effects?

Besides some slight skin discomfort, there may be some redness for 3 or so days after the procedures. There is a small risk of changes in skin pigment, but we take steps to limit this possibility. We also recommend keeping the area out of the sun for 3 or more weeks after treatment.

Are there any pre-procedure instructions or restrictions?

Make sure to drink water prior to the procedure.  The procedures can’t be done over tattoos. Avoid tanning for 2 weeks prior to the treatments. 

The procedure can’t be done over augmented breasts which have had breast procedures within the last year.  For Chest and Non Surgical Breast Lift, clients should not be pregnant or nursing. For those getting their abdomen treated, they should not be pregnant. 

Are there any post-procedure instructions?

We recommend you stay out of sun and wear sunblock for 3 weeks after the procedure. You may resume your regular activities after 1 day. Doctor does not recommend fitness activities for 24 hours post procedure except walking. Walking is good after the procedure.  Compression garments such as corsets, slimmers and tight bras or compression stockings, worn over the treated area may be beneficial, but only for the first 2-3 days after the sculpting.

How long does it take?

Who will be performing my procedure?

All Botox, Juvederm, Cryofacials and Laser Procedures here at Key West Med Spa are performed by a Board Certified, Licensed Physician who only practices in Aesthetics and Laser.

How much does it cost?

Prices start at $700 per treatment and per area. The cost is based on the size of the area being treated. Also usually 5 or more treatment are optimal.
