Aren’t there other lasers that do similar procedures?

No. The laser system, Fotona Dynamis, uses 2 synergistic lasers to create the full range of benefits of the Fotona 4D Procedure.  

What is the procedure like?

Dr. Cespedes will review your history and discuss the procedure and individualize your treatment based on your goals and skin type. Once a plan has been formed, you will have numbing cream applied to the face. This cream has lidocaine and is left on for 20 to 30 minutes. The procedure takes approximately 35 minutes. 

The laser procedure actually starts in the mouth.  This portion of the procedure is called the Smoothliftin. The application of laser energy in the oral cavity enables full-thickness contraction of collagen for persistent tightening and volumization. The lines along the nose, called laugh lines or nasolabial folds become volumized and become much less prominent. Wrinkled around the mouth can fade as well.  This is because colleges and elastin are stimulated to start to regrow. There can be a warm sensation while we apply the energy. This heating sensation is very temporary and can usually be relieved with wetting the lips or mouth.

We then move on to the skin on the face. The next step, FRAC3, complements the effects of the intraoral treatment. This step helps to restore youthful texture.

Step Three is the Piano Mode. This step heats the deep tissue delivering a tightening and lifting effect.  This step is warm but usually very well tolerated. The fourth step is SupErficial. This is a light peel for the skin. There is little irritation with this step.  This reduces imperfections gives the skin a pearl finish. You can leave with very little noticeable pink or redness to the skin.  

How long to see results?

Results vary but most patients will see some instant results with the complete result over a period of 2 to 6 months.

Does the procedure have any downtime?

No, there is no downtime. The procedure uses only laser energy to the skin and the procedure is non invasive allowing patients to walk-in and walk-out.

There may be some slight redness after the procedure, but makeup can be applied. Sun exposure is not recommended for 2 days. With sunblock and hats to be worn while undergoing the treatments.

How many treatments are needed?

Usually 3 to 8 treatments performed every 14-21 days. Then one or two maintenance treatment yearly. 

The cost is $700 per treatment.
